For learners

How do I find a local driving instructor?

Enter a school name or keyword in the homepage search and add your town or city in Location. You can also browse Car Driving Instructor or choose a city. Open a relevant listing and contact the provider to confirm that they cover your postcode.

Does it cost anything to search?

Browsing the directory is free. Each driving school sets its own lesson prices. The £15 to £100 price filter helps narrow listings; it does not guarantee a particular price or lesson duration. Ask the provider for a full quote.

Can I find automatic or manual lessons?

Look for the transmission type in the listing description or search using words such as automatic or manual. Confirm the vehicle type, lesson length, pickup area and availability directly with the instructor.

Are all instructors checked by Find Driving School?

A directory listing or verified email address is not proof of instructor approval. Check qualifications independently before booking. For Great Britain, use the official DVSA instructor search and ask the instructor about their registration or trainee licence. In Northern Ireland, check with the DVA.

How do I book, pay or request a refund?

Arrange lessons directly with the provider using their advertised contact details. Confirm the price and cancellation policy in writing before paying. For changes, cancellations or refunds, contact the provider with whom you made the agreement. Find Driving School does not hold your lesson payment.

For driving schools and instructors

How do I list my driving school?

Select List driving school, create an account or sign in, and complete your listing. Use the Car Driving Instructor category and your actual location or service area. Include your business name, contact details, lesson type, accurate prices and useful photos. A standard listing is free.

How do I verify my account?

Account registration uses email verification. Open the verification email sent to the address you registered with and follow its link. If it does not arrive, check junk or spam folders and confirm that your address is correct. Use a resend option if offered, or contact us for help. Never send us your password or verification link.

What images should I upload?

Use clear, relevant photos of your tuition vehicle, school or instructors that you have permission to publish. Follow the file type and size limits shown in the upload form. Avoid personal documents and obtain permission before showing learners. If an upload fails, contact us with the error text, file type and approximate size; do not send sensitive documents.

Can I change or remove a listing?

Sign in and use the listing controls in your account to make changes or remove a listing. Keep prices, phone numbers and availability up to date. If you cannot find the controls or have lost access, contact us with the listing link and the email address associated with your account.

Why is my listing not showing?

Check that the listing is complete, active and any requested verification steps have been completed. It may also have expired or need a correction. Review the status shown in your account and contact us if the reason is unclear.

What if I forget my password?

Use the password-reset option on the sign-in page and follow the instructions sent to your registered email address. Do not share your password, one-time codes or password-reset links with anyone.

Safety and privacy

How do I report a suspicious listing?

Use a listing's report option where available, or our Contact Us page. Include the listing link, what happened and relevant dates. Read our Anti-Scam Policies for payment safety and reporting guidance.

How do I request account deletion or help with my data?

Contact us with your request and the relevant account email. We may need proportionate identity checks before changing or releasing personal information. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is used and your rights.
